The Canterbury Jockey Club asked concerning the character of an applicant for a license.—The committee decided not to recommend the license. Mr E. I'uti asked if Sweet Sylvia, a horse that had run and won at unregiltered meetings, was eligible fur competition in tho Maiden i'late, Farmers Plate, and Cuunly I'late races. —The secretary had replied thai the answer depended on the conditions of the meetings in which the mare was engaged. Mr V. Colman asked that his disqualification, inflicted in connection with a meeting of the Uaikcno Racing Club at ilawcra, in June, 10,05, be removed.—The u months having expired, the disqualification was removed.

Mr J. L. Davy asked for the removal of the disqualification imposed in connection with a horse at the Kaupokonui meeting in May last— Declined, as the 12 months' disqualification had pot expired. Another application was held over, pending receipt of a formal application. A trainer's license was granted to Kaho Heremia, of W'aitara. Jockeys' licenses were granted to J. W. Van Dyke, Patea, and an apprentice's license to \V. J. Jones, in ihe employ of T. F. Godchild, of llawera; the application of \Y. 1-' alley stand over.
