The Standard, criticising the plural Voting Bill;, said if the Government introduced a bold'comprehcnsive measure of political equalitication, and redressing gros s electoral injustices, it need not anticipate resistance from Conservative Commoners of the House of Lords, but the Plural Voting Bill is only a shabby electioneering dodge designed to disfranchise public adversaries and get up a case against the House of Lords
