PER PRESS ASSOCIATfIow, Wekinotos, October 25. By order of Cabinet, the District Coroner at the request of the police, has decided to hold an inquiry into the recent disastrous fire, commencing next Tuesday afternoon. The Chamber of Commerce resolved, to urge upon the City Council : (1) To hold an exhaustive inquiry as to the steps that were taken for tho suppres. sion or fire, and tho generally adequacy or otherwise of the fire brigade staff and equipment j (2) to arrange so that "i.all cases of a fire outbreak in the Principal business streets or central thoroughfares within reach of tk* I water front, the steam engine be takem out at the time of the first alarm, so a# to be available for immediate use in case of need.
