CAPTAIN'S ACTION APPLAUDED. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, October 24. At a meeting of the Political Labour League, a motion was carried 10 place on record appreciation of the ~'onduct of Captain Jolly, of the Port Stephens, who by his humane action laved his crew, numbering- 30 men, !rom starvation and probably an un'.imcly death, being of opinion that lu» action will appeal to all classes with humanitarian principles, and consider the treatment to which he ivas subjected harsh and cruel.
