OAKURA DAIRY COMPANY.

The annual report of the Oakura Dairy Faetoiy Company, to be presented at the annual meeting on November 5, states that the quantity of milk received was 5,578,9881b, an increase of 558,6431b on the previous year, due largely to the creamery the directors cstablilicd on the Koru road at the beginning of last season. The milk tontained 212,8391b of butterfat, from which were manufactured 238,4801b of butter (100 tons (jewt lqr iolb), the over-run being 12.04 I' er cent. The average test was 3.Si, and the quantity of milk required to make a pound of Tmtter was 23.20,1b. The sum of 17/ was distributed among shat.eholdf.fs> being an average price of 9.2 yd per pound of but-ter-fat. The directors noted that the prospects for the coming season are exceptionally bright, and the prices offering the highest in the history of the company. The retiring directors are Messrs O. Oxenham and T. Seflon. Mr T. W. Morris has also resigned his seat on the directorate, and it will therefore be necessary to appoint three directors.
