THE DAIRY INDUSTRY.
IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS.
The Dairy Commissioner, Mr J. A. Kinsella. at the conclusion of his annual report, makes the following summary of the requirements and needs of the industry, which he says, he has been so long preying for: li) The erection of a dairy school. (2) The erection of an experimental station.
(.j) The systematic inspiction by herds supplying milk to factories and creameries.
; (3) The registration of all dairy tmalified men »f all dairy premises. (5) Systematic inspection and instruction to all fanners on the eare, aeration, and improvement of the milk supply. (6) The compulsoi'y pasteurisation of all cream or huttter for export. (;) The compulsory sterilisation of all skim milk and whey returning to the farms, so a s to prevent the spreadth of disease amongst voung stock.
(8) Agricultural colleges, one for each Island.
