WESTRALIAN SECESSION MOVEMENT. Perth, Octob'cr 17. The Legislative Council carried the secession motion by 19 to S. AN UNEXPECTED MAJORITY.

Pf.btb, October 17. The large majority of the Council in favour of secession was unexpected and created considerable surprise. Federal feeling was generally regarded as strong on the goldfields, but several representatives of these districts toted for secession.
