Auckland, October 17. Walter Richard Webb, uncfer 16 year-: of age, was charged with forginga cheque, for in the name 'if hdmund Mnliont>y. The evidence showed that accused, though not cmployed by Mr Mahoney, discovered Mi Mahoncy's mothod of perforating a cheque, and co])ied it Bo perfectly that he deceived a bank official, 'hi.ugh the signature was a forgery. Accused made a full confession, and was committed for trial.
