GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING
Received 13th- t-5 a-m-Sydney, October 13
There was fine weather for the opening of the golf championships on the Rose Hay jinks. Two out of the four rounds of the open championship were got through. A feature of the play was the downfall of the Victorian and the success of the N.S. Wales amateurs, and the fine play of the Hoods, both of whom proved superior to their opponents. Gcllan (N.Z.) failed to hold his own against Clarke (N.S. Wales).
