The Duke of Cumberland offered that he and his eldest son would renounce their claim' to Brunswick if h s youngest son were allowed to take the Dukedom.
The Kaiser replied that the resolution of the Federal Council of July uijd, 1885, still barred the way. Count Von Bulow replied that the Duke of Cumberland s proposals ftere unacceptable.
