REGULATING OUTPUT AND PRICE. Received 10th, 1.12 a.m. Sydney, Ociobcr 9. As a resu't of tae protrac ed negotions, 31 out of a total of 32 Newcastle district collieries came to arrangements for regulating the price of coal, the ouput of mines, and "e----curing uniformity of administration. Wallsend is the only pit not included in the arrangement. It is understood the scheme also'mbnaces an agreement by which coal from the mines interested wi'l be shipped by four shipping companies: Howard Smith. Huddart Parker. Adelaide Steam Ship Co., and Mellwraith MiEachtrn Co. The quantity to be handled will be about four million tons. It is believed the arrangement comes into operation in January UMt. tho dale fixed for advancing the selling price of coal.
