PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT SPEAKS.
THE UNITED STATES' AIM. Received 6th, 12.15 a.m. New York, October 5. President Roosevelt, in a speech at Harnaburg, Pennsylvania, condemned Fede/al acquisition of railroads, and advocated increasing more efficient supervision ard control of_the great common carriers. He aaded that the business use of Bwollen fortunes must be curbed. The country's true aim and the right kind of civilisation was not a mere plutocracy of banking houses, Wall street syndicates, nor submission to class hatred and mob violence.
