COOK'S PICTURES.

Cook's Picture Company opened in the Theatre Koyal on Thursday evening to a fair audience. The pictures shown were of exceptional length, and very interesting Among the humorous pictures, perhaps the most original, was the " Policeman's Nightmare," which was full of interest and excitement. Another good film, which tool aliout ten minutes to throw upon the screen, was " How Jones saw the Derby." The pranks of the new errand boy, and the usual tricks on policemen filled an. enjoyable halfhour. A feature of the evening was the series of the most sensational scenes from Wilson Barrett's great drama '• The Sign of the Cross," the pictures being lucidly explained as they proceeded. Mr "Wyng sung several new songs, with limelight illustrations. A fresh programme, fresh in every feature, is promisee for to-night, including n reproduction of Hackenschmitt winning the world's wrestling championship. A matinee perform--anee is announced lor this afternoon.
