NEGOTIATIONS NO FURTHER FORWARD. Received 4th, 12.40 a.m. Melbourne, October 4. In the Senate, Mr Playford. replying to a question stated that Mr DeaVin regretted he was unable to say that any definite progress had been made in connection with the negotiations with the Imperial Government with respect to the New Hebrides Correspondence on the subject cou'd not be laid on the Table, as it was marked confidential.
