SUPPOSED ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

Per Press Association. Dunedin, September 28, The police were cai.ed by the proprietor of a restaurant to see a man named Archibald Espie, who was apparently not in his right mind. As the man showed a sign of poisoning, a medical man was called, in, and an emetic administered. An empty bottle of Friar's balsam was found, and he had evidently taken a consideiable quantity of the drug. He was removed to the hospital, and though unconscious is expected to recover. Espie is about 50 years of age.
