WOBLD'S HAMMER THBOWItfG ILKCOKD. (Per Press Association.) Isvebcahoill, September 20. At a sport's meeting, Frank Ford, New Zealand champion all round athlete, put up a world's record, throwing an 18lb. hammer. Ift. 2in. handle, from a standing mark, 117 ft. 7in. This feat was authenticated by Mr Wood*, President of the Kew Zealand Athletic Union, the Major and many other prominent sjorts official*. Curry (Kelso), Robinson (Birerton), and Dodds (InTercargill) represent bouthland at the Wren £SOO race to be held in Melbovrne in October.
