A number of intfjrmiitions had been laid against Munro and his wife, but as Monro had pleaded guilty to all except o n c, the charge wou-cl be withdrawn. Mr VV. Sinclair, who appeared for the accused denied that an extensive business had b-on carried on. When Munro purchased the business, he did not think tkere would be any harm in keeping a supply of hquor, and treating his customers when they paid accounts. Ie had no idea of selling it, but he I'Hind when customers had a second mp they would insist on paying for it- No liquor was supplied except to customers at the store. There was no profit to speak of,'
