Fat sheep. 3684 yarded, principally wethers of very good quality. The sa'e opened at prices much easier, but improved somewhat at the finish. There was probatfy a drop in prices of from i,6 to 2, per head. Heavy wethers suffered least. Best wethers 23,6 to 24/6, a few double fleece and extra heavy realising as mjich as 319, good wethers 19/ to 22;, otiiers 14 *6 to 18. Ewes brought up to 21/6, hogj gets (50 head yarded) from 16/6 to 18,6.
Pigs—2o3 penned of all sorts, most being slips and light baconers. Bacon pigs were firm at late rates. Porkers were tightly easier. Suckers 7/ to io/, slips 12 to 16,, stores 19/ to 24/, porkers 341 to 401, light baconers 43 to 48/, heavy baconers 50/ to 59/.
DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET. Per Press Association. Dunedin. September 12. Wheat. —Miters arc not buying and quotations for milling are nominal. Fowl feed is in fair demand locaMv, in trade lots. Prime Tuscan 3,6 to 37, medium 3 3 t0 3,'5> best fowl wheat 3/1 to 3/2, inferior 2/9 to 3/ (sacks extra). Oats.—There are some outside enquiries, but sales are confined to seed lines and local trade. Prime seed 2/6 to 2 9, best milling 2'3 to 2/4, good to best feed 2/1 to 2 2j, inferior and medium 1 10 to 2 (sacks extra).
