At the morning service at the Primitive Methodist Church on Sunday, says the "Argus," Rev. Benniug intimated that he hat' decided to necept the invitation to remain in Eltham for a third year. Mr S. Millinglon, who has been appointed gaoler at New Plymouth in succession to Mr O'Brien, retired on a pension, arrived from Wellington last night, and at once entered on his new duties. Chief Inspector Sehauer, of the Health .Department in Wellington, is at present in New Plymouth To day he will inspect the septic tank, the waterworks, and the site of Mr Ridell's proposed boiling-down establishment on tho abattoir reserve.
