Anfloos, a Berber chief, with a strong force, entered Mogador, and demanded the removal to Mellila of the Ghetto and all Jewish merchants in the Moorish quarter, many of whom were under European protection. The Jews refused to remove, and Anfloos threatened to sack and burn thir houses. " ■ The Powers are sending warships to the scene, and the Sultan is sending troops.
