GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, September 10. The New Zealand golf championship meeting opened at the Shirley links this morning under somewhat inauspicious weather conditions. The day was showery and a strong sou'west wind was blowing, which interfered considerably with th'c play of many of the compeitors. Tc-mcr-row morning the first round of the Canterbury championship will be played, the third round of the NewZealand championship being played in the afternoon.
