The Times' Berlin correspondent states that the Deutsche Eevue's tentative suggestions did not receive any encouragement—official or semi-official —in Britain. Sir Edward Grey's policy was essentially tho same as that of Lord Londsdowne's, his predecessor at the Foreign Office.
