BARRETT ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of ihe liarrell Road Board was held on Friday. The chairman was authorised lo .sitfri ihe deed prepared for the sale of Mr Shaw's land to the board to widen Devon nad extension. The sea' will he affixed and a cheque forwarded to Mr Shaw's .solicitors. The chairman was authorised to have a drain cut on the Jllajjdon load, in order to obviate the nuisance complained of by Mr C. II Moore; and in have the tunnel outlet at the Man«aoti,k u stream fenced. Mr j. J. ]:',lwin waited on the Hoard and asked i io be aHowed to retain the drain on ; the Devon toad. The Chairman said that die neighboring ratepayers had cumplainnd, and the ('rain must b<rene.'Vd. Mr Klwin promised io have the matter attended to. Accounts amounting to j£ic>4 11/5 wcr passed for payment.
