MEETING AT. STRATFORD. PBB TIIESS ASSOCIATION. Stbatfohd, September 4 At a large public meeting held hero last night to discuss the Opuniike railway question, tho following resolu- ~ tion, supported by delegates from Opunake, Now Plymouth, Unwera and o»hcr places was carried unanimously : " That this meet my urge upon the Government tho necessity of at once commencing a railway from Opunake, proceeding with it diligently along the V. railway reserve to a- point of divergenco, and that the question of a * junction be left in abeyance until th» point of divergence has been reached 1 " It was also decided that a representative deputation impress the importance of the work upon the Govern, ment. ' ■
