FITZROY FIRE BRIGADE.
iiECEIVES COUNTY SUBSIDY. .Messrs Griflitlis (capain) and A. Ue..er (secre.ary), for the Fizlrov Ftre Brigade, waited on the County Council on Monday, and asked ihat body to contribute a subsidy of £2s towards the brigade's funds. ,As 'bowing- the brigade was worthy of support, Mr We«er quoted its success at Eltham demonstration and very good performance at Duncdin. The brigade would be put to big expense this year, having to provide -informs and expenses for taking part in the demons,ration at Chrift- • hurch, but the deputation did not think any further appeal would be made to the Council owing- to the probable passing of the Fire Brigades Bill.
