Fowlds, Minister for Education, speaking at the opening of a new school to-day, said it was impossible to get anything too good in tko way of equipment, natural aud otherwise, in the teaching profession. It was no use having up-t>-datebuildingF, unless there were up-to-date toachtrs. He believed there was a very great work for him to do in organising the existing machinery, dove-tailing tho various portions of the system into one harmonious whole. The measures in operation would, he oelieved, increase the elliciency of our education system.
