CANTERBURY V. GREVMOUTII. PER TRESS ASSOCIATION. GItEYMOFTH, August 27. The first hockey match, of the Canterbury tour took place to-day, when a combined Greymouth team wore defeated by two goals to ml. The weather was unfavorable, a light ruin falling all clay and the ground' was in a heavy, sloppy condition which provented a scientific display. The teams were entertained at afternoon tea by the lathes, and to-night the visitors are being entertained at a smoke concert.
