JAPANESE COMMANDER KILLED. QCAKKEL OVER AUSTRALIAN LADY. Received 23rd, a.m. BRISBANE, August 2:. A telegram from Shanghai gives some pariiculars of a duel aboard the Japanese ciuiser ltsushima. The fight look plate aboard the cruiser ■ 'IT Saigon. Commander Ishikawa revived 20 wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. Kawai. the chief engineer, refused to ctininiil harikari, alleging his honour was involved. lie is now awaiting courimartia!.
Commander Ishikawa was decorated bv the Emperor for services during the war. The quarrel is said to have, been over an AuMrn'ian ladv. moving in fashionable circles.
