TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

At a fully attended meeting of tlio Committeo of tlio Taranaki Agricultural Society last night, consideration of the scheme of experimental plots! was deferred until a future meeting. The committee decided to allow implements to be exhibited free of cost at the forthcoming show. Arrangements were completed for Mr Gilruth's lecture in tlio Town Hall on Friday, 30th inst., and at Stratford on the following evening. It was resolved that gold medals be given for the champion animals, both sexes, in each class at the coming show, m place of the old system of judgiug one class against another. Twenty new members were elected The next committee meeting is to be held on Friday, 24th inst. The secretary handed in a large number of special prizes to be allocated in the coming schedule.
