At the mart sale I sold a very large quantity of furniture and sundries, the salo lasting till nearly 5 o'clock with a crowded attendance. On Tuesday I held a clearing salo for Mr W. Earp, at Oaknra, at which there was a large attendance, notwithstanding the bad weather, and most satisfactory prices were realised, cows and young stock showing a decided upward tendency. Cows in calf realised from £0 2s (id to £8 ss, cows in milk £3 5s to £5 7s Od, light draught horses £l2 Lis, Cambridge roller £ls, furniture and sundries sold at usual rates. Our monthly hide sale was held on Wednesday and the growing support to these sales was evidenced by the largely increased entries from the whole district. Prices for hides were well maintained, a good line of butchers ox hides realising 30s Od. but skms and wool showed a decline in values in sympathy with outside values These sales have met a decided want and I would urge on clients to exercise care in skinning and salting, and full rates will then he obtained. On Thursday I held a clearing sale for Mr (J. Auton at the Lepper Road, and favored by brilliant weather there was a very large attendance and gool prices were obtained considering the condition of the stoA, which was on the low side. Milkers realised from £2 10s for backward and low conditioned cows to £0 2s Od for newly calved and early calvers £<t 5s to £6 15s.
