HOCKEY.
The following is the Auckland hockey representative team, which meets Taranaki to-day: Goal, S. Sarah; fulls, H. D. Hill, E. B. Anderson; halvos, V, 0. Kavanagh, D. K Porter (Capt.) W E. Bloomficld; forwards: J. Jessup, 11. B. Young, F. R. Mason, W. Lepine, and T. Doyle. Emergencies: E. W. Dinneen and Crispe. The team arrived in New Plymouth last evening from the south, and after to-day's match return by the Auckland boat this evening. The team will be entertained by the local Association at the Imperial Hotel this evening.
