(t'KOJt orn own cobbesposdhxt.) The suppliers of ths Ngaire cooperative cheese factorv have no cause i for complaint re last year's returns. A shilling for butter fat ought to satisfy even a grumbler. Humour hath it that the cheese factories in the vicinity will have to enlarge their premises this season. A very successful salo of dairv stock look place at Mrs Dean's, Cheal road, last week, store cows reaching £lllss' Much sympathy is felt for Mr A. W. Walker, the accidental death of whose mother was telegraphed from Hastings during the weelf. Tho ileceased lady was well known in Ngaire, having lived here in the early days. Mr J, Bell, of Fiiinerty road, has sold his farm to Alt* Harkncss, son of Mr J. Cr. .Harkncss, of the National Dairy Association. Ihe Ngaire .School has suffered considerably owing to the annual exodus consequent upon tho sale of dairy farms, about 30 pupils having left during the past six weeks. Monday night was ono of the worst | experienced during this winter. Besides a severe thunderstorm, over two inches of rain fell.
