Mr E. Griffiths was a passenger to Auckland on Thursday night 011 a business trip. This presentation to bo made to Mr Oitoy by his supporters at the late election will not take place until about the end of the month. Mr G. L. Meredith, grain merchant, etc., of Dunediu, was on a short visit lo New Plymouth on Thursday. Messrs Ku-ton and Curtis, late proprietors of the Feildiug " Star " passed through New Plymouth, on Thursday evening en route for Auckland. Visitors staying at the White Hart Hotel 011 Thursday night included Mr and Mrs Hawthorne, and Mr Urcjuhardt Maedoaal (Wellington), Mr Young, Mr Miller, and Mr Cumerfield, (Auckland). The name of Mr 0. W. Hole should have been mentioned as ono o£ the enorgetic gentlemen who so successfully canvassed New Plymouth for subscriptions towards the representation of Taranaki at tho International Exhibition.
