GOVERNMENT TAKING ENER. GETIC MEASURES. • R-reived Ifi, 9.50 p.m. SvDXEt, August 16. There is much alarm in the Northern districts on the recent discovery of ticks in tlie vicinity o£ tlie Tweed River. Out of a herd of 118 cattle, 28 were ticked. The Government are taking elaborate precautions to prcvert spreading, and are stringently quarantining and dioping.
