A SHOCKING TRAGEDY.
m CHINAMAN BUNS AMOK. KILLS TWO BOYS AND WOUNDS ANOTHEB. A BELIGIOUS MANIAC. Becired 16,1.10 a.m. Stdset. Augus 15. A Chinaican to-night ran amok at Pennant Hills, and killed two boys and wounded a third. Armed with, a tomahawk, he Brst attacked a boy named Hockley at Thornley railway station. Hockley managed to escape, after retelling a slight wound on the head. Thence, rushing in the direction of Pennant Hills, the Chinaman met and killed a boy named Pettit, aged 11. He then made his way to the residence of the Hines' family, who barricaded themselves inside. Failing to obtain admission, the attacker set fire to an adjoining bedroom A boy named Aiken, aged 15, delivering groceries at Mines', was the neit victim, being brutally attacked and killed. The police arrested the murderer after a desperate straggle. He is supposed to be suffering from religions mania.
