DEATH IN A SNOW-SLIDE. Per Press Association. Goek, August 10. The body of Wm. Mckenzie, of Walter Peak Station, Queenstown, who has been missing on tho Lakes District ranges for some days, was discovered last night about fire o'clock in two feet of snow. Search parties had been out for a couple of days, and on Wednesday discovered foot marks which ended abruptly. Whoro the body was found was nearly half a mile from the point, and it is presumed a snow slide carried McKenzie that dis- j tance, along with four dogs, whose bodies were found near that of their master.
