ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
A meeting of delegates of the Taranaki Union was held at Eltham on TAajsday, when the following were in attendance : Messrs Clarke, Keid. and Frost, New Plymouth; Parroit, Hutchinson and Glaister, Eltham ; Northcott and Betts, Eaponga The Inglewood delegate wrote apologising for non-attendance.
The correspondence included a comamnvation from the New Zealand Union to the effect that all the Brown shield matches most be played within • period of three or four days. Providing the matches do not clash with any other important flit ires, the dates were arranged for Hawera, 2!) th August, New Plymouth 30th, and the final at Eltham on Ist September. The fixtures at Kaponga and Inglewood, Taranaki v. a visiting rep. team, are to be played on the 4th and Bth September respectively. A committee consisting of Messrs Parrott, Frost, and Northcott were appointed to arrange for advertising, etc.. in connection with the fixtures.

Mac Donald, Eltbam ; fallbacks, Bullock, Sew Plymouth; Dr Deck, Hawera; halfback, Keid, Hew Plymouth; Eel];, Kaponga; Hutchinson, Eltham; forwards, Curry, New Plymouth; Maclagan, Kaponga; GUister, Eltliam; Smart, New Plymouth ; Crabtree, Eltham.
Emergencies'. Fallback, Coats and Edwards; halfbacks, Kay and Walker; forwards, Chadwick, Harblcy, and Carncross.
