Tread well, of Kawera, performed the ceremony. There was a Js»dly gathering ot relatives and friends from far aid near, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The bride was given away by her father, in I attended by her a ster. Miss A. M. Oanninc, and Mr \V. J. Hardy, of New Plymotitli, acted as l>e.-t man. Ti' bride looked exceedingly daintv in htr gown of white Lmisennc -iik, the bodice being made with a point I bolero, and trimmed with tinj kilting •of chiffon. The x'eeves were pretlilv gathered to correspond with the >kiri. which was finished at the foot wi 1 >mall tucks. A handsoui'wreath md a lovely figured veil complied tin charming roslnme. The bridesimt i wore a handsome Japane-e silk Jr, s. triinmcd with Ma tee insertion and silk ornaments. The bride's mother ■wore silt voile, trimmed with silk. Tinbridegroom - lii'.tber \\.re a blaci. figured silk. with white rhiffon front. | The bride carried a su|*rb -how.-r b3Ui|uet of white (lowers, and the bridtsmaid one of yellow tlnwers, both the gifts of Mrs A. B. Stewart, id "The Laurels," Noriiianby. The bridegroom's gift to the hr.d ■was a gold jewelled bangle, and I the bridesmaid a greenstone bangle, gild mounted and sef with mourned pear's. The bride' ■' gift to the bridegroom was a gold sovereign ea-e. The lnppy couple were the recipients of many presents from friends all ore* the colony. -Miss L. Brunette at thconclusion of the ceremony played th ' Wedding March." Mr and Mrs McNieol left d ih afternoon for Napier and Wellington. The travelling costume was of grcv tweed, with one of the new long coat -, which was lined throughout with satia. and had a white cloth vest cmb.-cidere ! in silver.
