Berry returned to New I tymouth from Auckland on Wednesday morning, Mr Jack Ryan, formerly of New Plymouth, h.,,s been engaged to sing in L<eliding on Friday night, and arrived here by the Karawa on Wednesday going on to Feilding by the express He was joined at New Plymouth by ■Mrs Ryau, who has been staying with her parents, Mr and Mrs Coilis, for a day or two.

Mr W. Gray, Secretary to the Pos ( and Telegraph .Department, was a passenger to Kew Plymouth, from Auckland, on Wednesday morning, and went on by the express train to Wellington. Mr Gray has just returned from a visit to Europe, where he attended the Internatioual Post Congress at Rome
