TARANAKI AND MANAWATU DRAW. l'lill mess ASSOCIATION. J'.vi.iuuisfo.v Noimi, August 1. The representative match, Manawatu y. Taranaki, was played here to-day and resulted in a draw, each side scoring two goals. The game was fast throughout, though not a lirsl-class exhibition as regards science, the heal men particularly, displaying a lack of their usual combination. Both teuns were in great condition, and played with dash from si art to finish. Taranaki possess a very strong half-back line, and a champion goal-keeper in Craw ford. Goals were scored for Manawatu by WaUegrave (2), and for Taranaki by C.ithro and Jordon. The visitors continue their tour to Wellington to-morrow.
