THE EDUCATION BILL.
PASSES THE HOUSE OF COMMONS. DISSATISFACTION OF THE MINORITIES. THE '• TIMES'' ! OPINION. Received 31, 10.25 p.m. Lo.vdon, July 31. In the House of Comiuous, the Education Bill was read a third time without division, afler Mr W 11. Long's amendment to reject it had been negatived by 369 to 177. Mr Redmond declared that the Notionalists were actually looking for justice to the House of Lords. Other minorities expressed equal dissatisfaction. The " Times " says that several Ministerialists acted as "candid friends," and seldom has a measure of such importance, passed by a great majority, been so damned by faint praise. The aim of the Bill is to settle the religious dillirulty. Unless it does that the Bill has failed.
