KILLED IN A SHINGLE PIT.
run l'ltuss ASSOCIATION. Asiiumto.v, July 24. While working in a shingle pit at Walcauui to-day, James Dnyer was killed through the sides of the pit caving in, and the falling debris burying him. A rescue party was soon at work but although only a quarter of ail hour elapsed before the shmgl# was cleared away, life was extinct when the man was disinterred.
