ISOLATION OF MAORI LEPERS.
FEB I'HR.iS ASSOCIATION. Wellington, July 24. Refornng to the reported case of leprosy at Waikaremoaua, Dr. Pomare, Native Health Olli; :er, thinks it may be ouly a false alarm. "Wc know absolutely nothing iboul it," he says. "So far, the only leperj, to our knowledge, are throe who arc isolated as far as possible. One of them is at Wanganui, and others are further north. They have been removed from their family circles, and persons have been appointed to look aftor them, It is understood, however, that the isolation is not complete, but that it is intended by the (iovornment to have these subjects quarantined close enough to meet all criticism."
