For three weeks she was anchored in flioks' Bay, while a fierce westerly was m progress. last Monday morning the wind suddenly shifted to the south-east, anf within an hour was blowing strongly from that.quarter. Hicks' Bay: then offer, ing no shelter, the schooner ran found to Little Awanni, where she anchored until Thursday, it being inadvisable to face the weathor in view of the shifting nature of the shingle ballast. On Thursday the weather moderated, and Oreti poiht was loft on that morning, light easterly-winds, with a very heavy <ea, beiuu met with until arrival.
