WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting ot the above board was held on We luesday, all the members being present. Correspondence was read from Mr Hyrlop, complaining of drains from Cross and Te Arei roads, turning surface water on to his property; from Valuation Department, re native names on the Valuation Roll; and from Mr Westen, requesting that the metal on Brown road be repaired. The clerk was directed to request Mr Hyrlop to attend the next meeeing, as the Bjard were unacquainted with any new drains having been made. A general rate of throe farthings was struck for the ensuing year, and the chairman and Mr French were appointed to sign tho rale book. The surfacoman reported that Mr Levers gravel pit had been loft in an unsatisfactory state by the contractor when metalling Tate road.
