gTABANAKI BUGBY UNION. meeting of the Management Committee of the Taranaki Bngby Union was held at Stratford on Thurday night. Present: Messrs Alf Bayly giairman), A. Humphreys (New ymoutn), H.A. Wilson (Hawera), Shields (Patet), D. Malone (Stratford), and Skogjund, secretary. > The explanation 'of S. Cleaver (Okaiawa), who was suspended, was considered satisfactory, and the suspension removed. D. O'Salliyan (Opunake) reported by the referee (Mr J. O'Dea) for •swearing, wrote that the words were used under provocation. The referee endorsed the explanation, and O'Sulliran was reprimanded. Mr Humphries gave notice of motion next meeting that the resolution passed at last meeting m connection with the Harkness case be rescinded.
The N.Z. Kttgby Union notified that the £4OO applied for would be granted, provided that satisfactory arrangements were come to. The money won.d not be available before September 2lud. It was decided that the rcprtientatire team consist of eighteen tmyers on the Southern tour. Mr Sv glund was appointed manager, and tk* team will leave by Monday's mai. train. Mynott, Hunter and O'Sulliran were appointed a selection committee. The play-off for the Senior Championship of the Northern. division between Star and Stratford, was fixed lor the first vacant Thursday after the return of the rep. team.- This will probably be the 16th August.
