PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL.
At the ordinary monthly meeting of tho Board of Governors of the New Plymouth High School there were prefccit: Messrs N. K. MaoDisrmid (chairman), J. B. Roy, D. Berry, 8. Percy-Smith, E. Doekrill, and J. E. Wilson.
The Board's solioitor, Mr 0. Samuel, will bo asked to consider the application of Mr A. J. Honeyfield for an extension of his lease at Onaero.
A letter from a parent in reference to Mr Bligh's forthcoming lecture to the pupils will be acknowledged, and he will be informed that parents are to be circularised to the effect that at. tondanoe of the pupils at the lecture is entirely optional with parents. The members of the Board considered that the lecture would be a means of elevating the pupils' idea of life and its responsibilities,
Miss Bedford's application for the position of instructress in physical culture to the girl scholars was con. sidered, and the Board decided it was not in a position to start any fresh dashes at present. Messrs Berry and Wilson were an. pointed to interview the Commissioner of Crown Lands with reference to the reclamation of a piece of Mr A. J. Koneyfleld's lease for scenery preservation purposes. The action of the chairman in ordering prizes was confirmed.
Accounts amounting to £133 2s were passed for payment,
