Already in some Continental cities and in New York, there are auto* mntic lunch counters, where customers can secure hot or cold drinks by tiepositing coins ia an automatic deyice which serves the article required. In cjoking, cleaning, and in every description of house work, electricity will displace manual labor, whilo the electric city of the future will be a blaz» of light, with its myriads of lights, turning night into day almost, along its principal thoroughfares.
