In 18!." in appointed assistant Professor of Engineering at Henot College, Edin- / burgh He subsequently returned to Adelaide, and later on was appointed electrical engineer to the Sydney City Council, and held that position until 1903, when he came to Chnstchurch, where he was installed as electrical engineer to the municipality. He was then lecturer at the Canterbury College, and finally was chosen by the New Zealand Electrical Construction Company as its engineer.
