A DISABLED COLLIER.
* PES MESS ASSOCIATION. Wesitoht, July 9, The Union Company's collier, s.s. Kiui, bound from Wellington to Grey-' mouth, was picked up about six miles from Westport on Saturday night by the same company's s.s. koonya, and towed up to the roadstead this morniug, but owing to (he fresh in the riyer was left at anchor there. At the time of the mishap a huge sea was running with a. hard gale and furious squalls, and the getting of the lines aboard and the subsequent towage were matters of considerable difficulty, but were accomplished successfully.
